Cyann (frowning and rolling her eyes): Whatever.
Avery (laughing): You need to move faster next time, Slow Poke.
Cyann: I guess. But don't worry, I'll get my hands on him soon. (Looks at Brooklyn playing on the floor) Ever since she started walking, I've been missing her being, well, more in need of help.
Ember: Do you have a burp cloth so I can protect his face from my clothes?
Cyann: Girl, I've been out the house only because it's warm outside and I take the kids out to do things. We hang out at the park and Kiddie Kingdom, that play land for kids. It's great because with Brooklyn walking now, well running too, she gets to work off all that energy.
Avery: Now that I'm getting out of the house more often, I'd love to go with you. Aviana still goes to day care a couple of days a week. I think she needs the socializing. But being there with her while she has fun would be nice.
Avery: Yoga, huh? Is it as hard as it looks?
Ember: Hmmm...At first, yes, very hard. Holding poses can be challenging, but after a few classes and by few I mean 10, it gets better.
Ember: Chi is pretty cool. She's always pleasant and encouraging. All around positive about helping new people when they get started. She pushes to help you get through, but in an encouraging manner. She actually has beginner classes which require less time for holding positions.
Avery: That could help me get into shape.
Cyann: Girl, you look great for having just had a baby. Belly is all gone.
Avery: Maybe, but I can still use the exercise. Just get toned, you know?
Brooklyn decides she wants to take a closer look at Cristian. Ember helps her up on to the chair.
Brooklyn: Hi, Citten.
Ember: Isn't he cute? He's looking at you.
Brooklyn (smiling): Citten!
Ember: You used to be this small. Now you're a big girl. Still Auntie Ember's Busy Bee.
Brooklyn: Bee Bee?
Ember: Yes, you're a Busy Bee.
Cyann: That's great! Congratulations!
Ember: Yes! Congratulations! Do you have an idea what you want?
Avery: Well, I think three bedrooms will good. This is an investment and the children will get older. They won't need to share the same room.
Cyann: That's good. What about work? Are you going back?
Cyann: That's really good.
Avery: I am so thankful things worked out. The universe is on our side right now. I'm running with it.
Cristian starts to fuss.
Ember: Did you bring a bottle?
Avery: No, but I brought the tap. I'll get him.
Cyann: No, you did not. Where?
Avery: Yes, do tell.
Avery: Awww! I can't wait until my children are old enough to go. Does Erwyn know? Is she excited?
Ember: She and Parker actually talked me into it. We were home, well at my house, eating dinner and I had to run to the bathroom. By the time I had returned to the table, those two were just waiting to convince me we needed to go. Parker said he is paying for everything and Erwyn gave me her little puppy dog eyes look. I had to give in.
Cyann: Those two double teamed you, huh?
Ember: They sure did.
Cyann: They are getting along wonderfully, aren't they?
Cyann: He's a good guy. I've always liked him.
Avery: He's my brother. Of course he is. Okay, maybe I'm a little partial, but he is a great guy.
Ember: He is. He checks on Erwyn, asks her about school, talks to her about things she likes doing, always tries to get her opinion and her buy-in. Which I love.
Cyann: Sounds like he's ready to be a father.
Ember: Really? I didn't know that.
Avery: Well, you know how quiet and reserved he is, so he doesn't say too much about your relationship. But when she does or says something that amazes or sticks with him, he talks about it.
Ember: Oh. Well, that's a good sign.
Avery: The best. Cyann, could I get something to drink, please?
Cyann: Sure. I'll make us all a snack too. Maybe after I feed Busy Bee, I can get her to lie down for a nap in my room. I don't want to put her in with the girls playing.
Cyann goes to put together something to eat and drink while Avery and Ember keep talking and Brooklyn keeps playing. They enjoy a couple more hours before they part and go their separate ways.
Thanks for stopping by. ~ Jaye
